About Ananta
French-born Ananta Girard has been sharing his experience as an ARYM practitioner and trainer for more than 15 years. He has been teaching Ayurvedic Restorative Yoga Massage techniques and has been giving individual sessions nomadically to an international clientele, mostly fashion and show-business celebrities. Also, as a spa visiting consultant Ananta has been training health professionals and therapists for some of the most prestigious Spa Resorts worldwide (see Spa Consulting).
Ananta is currently based in India. For the last 20 years he has lived and taught in many countries including Hong Kong, Taiwan, United States, Brazil, China and France. Ananta also visits regularly Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, Morocco, the Caribbean islands and several European countries.
Ananta developed his therapeutic massage skills in Pune, India, where for the last 20 years he has been practicing meditation and therapies at the Osho International Center. In Pune, Ananta started practicing Hatha Yoga and in 1995 met Master Kusum Modak (founder of the Ayurvedic Yoga Massage method). As Kusum’s senior student, he assisted her and organized her training on a regular basis between 1996 and 2000. Since then, a deep relationship remains and with her blessings, Ananta develop an amazing carrier worldwide spreading Kusum work with devotion.
Since 2000, he is studying with Professor Blandine Calais-Germain from France, founder of the method “Anatomie pour le Mouvement” (Anatomy for the Movement) and author of several best-selling books on integrated approaches to the study of anatomy. Since 2008, Ananta teaches ARYM every summer at Blandine's center of Anatomy for Movement in Limoux, France.
In addition, Ananta is also a student on Osteopathy Biodynamic with Dr. James Jealous D.O. in the United States, where he has been following his training "Phases" from time to time since 2006.
More recently he has been intensely practicing Ashtanga Yoga in Mysore, India with Sharath Jois at the KPJAYA Yoga Institute and also with Rolf Naujokat in Goa.
Ananta places emphasis on his students being fully present during practice, on developing intuition, on precision of movements and on their understanding of physiology of movements and anatomical barriers to avoid injury.
Ananta trusts that ultimately watching the "Body-Mind" organism is meditation. He is sharing his understanding on the healing potential of conscious touch that has contributed to help people to become healthier, more loving and happier.
Ananta is currently giving training courses in India.
