Mysore, India – Ayurvedic Yoga Massage Training

Become a Certified Ayurvedic Yoga Massage Practitioner

Join our next 2022 training in Mysore, India’s charming kingdom, acclaimed cleanest city, cradle of modern Yoga and capital of the Ashtanga yoga.
Learn how to give this amazing yoga bodywork treatment to make yourself and others feel good. Acquire the original AYM method directly from the pioneer Ayurvedic Yoga Massage teacher Ananta Sylvain Girard, founder of the ARYM Institute (Mysore, India). ARYM certification allows you to develop professionally as an AYM practitioner worldwide. This 15-day intensive course is 90% hands-on and will teach you everything you need to know to provide (or improve) professional Ayurvedic Yoga Massage tailored to clients’ individual needs. The teaching of massage uses the proven Kusum Modak method. Every participant experiences daily with the AYM treatment, being alternately the masseur and the massaged person. Aside from many yoga-stretches and massage techniques taught, everyone revives their capacities to give and receive. Thus naturally reconnects with their psycho-corporal integrity. That aims to develop a conscious touch and a benevolent presence that are essential to the profession.

Pre-requisite: The course is suited for everyone with a genuine interest in massage, including beginners and professionals of all levels.

Ayurvedic Yoga Massage (AYM)

Inspired by the Indian traditions of Yoga and Ayurveda, Ayurvedic Yoga Massage therapy (AYM) combines deep tissue oil massage and yoga-based passive stretches (assisted stretching therapy). It should be emphasised that Ayurvedic Yoga Massage is a very different treatment than Abhyanga Massage or other traditional ayurvedic massages as yoga passive stretching therapy is the central part of the treatment. Besides, only a small amount of massage oil is used, mixed with an exfoliating powder when applying the deep massage strokes: Ayurvedic Yoga Massage vs traditional Abhyangam & Ayurveda massages
