Prerequisite: This training programme is open only to AYM Therapist Diploma (112 hours minimum) confirmed by consistent practice.

The transmission of the Ayurvedic Yoga Massage method
You will receive your certification from Ananta Sylvain Girard. A pioneer of AYM, Ananta worked with Master Kusum Modak, the creator of the AYM method, on 30 full therapist training programmes (1996-2001) in Pune and Goa. Since then, he has conducted over 250 therapist training courses to thousands of students over the past 30 years. Learn more about Ananta
AYM Assistant Instructor Courses
The instructor training programme offers the opportunity to assist Ananta during one or several AYM Therapist courses. You will be trained to lead the programme and learn the transmission of the method as a confident teacher.
The complete instructor training program consists of 3 stages:
- AYM student Instructor (I)
Participate at a primary training as student instructor / +70 hrs*
Certificate of participation - AYM student Instructor (II)
Participate at a second training as student instructor ** / +100 hrs***
Certificate of participation - AYM Certified Instructor (III)
Participate at 3 trainings at least, as student instructor **Follow a group of students in post-training and report back / +100 hrs** (of variable duration).
Certified Instructor (After results of the post-training work).
*Including 56 hours of the AYM Therapist course and 14 hours of preparation, meetings and reports before and after classes.
**Following this training and depending on results, the newly authorised instructors can easily facilitate the 2 to 8-day courses.

This three hundred year old sheepfold on a 20 hectare estate is populated with 400 years old fruit and chestnut trees, fields of lavender and other medicinal plants. What is Ayurvedic Yoga Massage (AYM)
Inspired by the Indian traditions of Ayurveda and modern yoga, Ayurvedic Yoga Massage (AYM) combines combines deep tissue oil massage and assisted yoga-based stretching elements in one session. Master Kusum Modak from Pune, India developed the comprehensive dynamic AYM method in the early 1980s, strongly influenced by her practice with BKS Iyengar. This contemporary all-in-one yoga therapy care supported by breathwork differs significantly from other traditional massage treatments of Ayurveda.
The teacher
Ananta Sylvain Girard, founder of the ARYM Institute, shares three decades of rich experience in AYM. Along his journey, he devoted seven years in close hands-on collaboration with Master Kusum Modak, the creator of the AYM method, in India. Alongside his distinctive role as the master’s direct assistant, he has also built an illustrious career as a massage therapist, providing over 20,000 AYM treatments to a prestigious international clientele. Trained in anatomy by Professor Blandine Calais-Germain (Anatomy for Movement), Ananta has developed a precise and comprehensive teaching method. Located in the Haute Provence, between the Lure mountain and the Luberon. It is a 90 minute drive from Avignon or Aix-en-Provence. This three hundred year old sheepfold on a 20 hectare estate is populated with 400 year old fruit and chestnut trees, fields of lavender and other medicinal plants. Dedicated to meditation, life-enriching activities and friendship, the centre is an ideal place to held immersion training. We will enjoy the calm, silence, and gentle energy of nature, all of which will help you to recharge your batteries.
