Ananta has extended the reach of AYM far beyond the borders of India, spreading the method to many countries, including Australia, Belgium, Bhutan, Brazil, China, England, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Morocco, Norway, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, the Turks and Caicos Islands, Scotland, South Korea, the United States, and several other Caribbean islands.
Ananta’s ARYM journey began in 1996 when he had the privilege of meeting AYM’s visionary creator, Kusum Modak. He was immediately captivated by her remarkable method. For seven years, he served as her principal assistant and personal secretary, organising numerous AYM training courses in India and accompanying her on international trips. This experience profoundly shaped Ananta’s path, and he continues to maintain a close and unwavering commitment to Ayurvedic Yoga Massage and Kusum’s legacy to this day.
Ananta is a sought-after massage therapist who has dedicated his career to serving an exclusive clientele that comprises top singers, actors, designers, supermodels, Olympic athletes, and royalty. His client list includes renowned individuals like Mike Jaeger, Gisele Bündchen, Catherine Deneuve, Tom Ford, Kenzo, and many others who greatly prioritise their privacy. Ananta has offered his massage treatments at prestigious occasions like Fashion Weeks, the Oscars, the Cannes Film Festival, and various musical tours.
Between 2000 and 2010, Ananta integrated the Anatomy for Movement method into his teaching, learning Anatomy and Physiology under the guidance of its French founder, Blandine Calais-Germain. During this period, he also conducted several AYM training courses at the Calais-Germain training centres in Limoux and Paris. Furthermore, from 2007 to 2019, Ananta trained in Biodynamic Osteopathy (Phases I and II) with its founder, Dr. James Jealous, D.O., in the United States.
Ananta encourages exploring modern manual therapies while preserving the original AYM method,
which he transmits with the blessing of his beloved Master Kusum Modak. Furthermore, Ananta’s classes draw inspiration from the teachings of prominent figures such as BKS Iyengar, the Jois family, Blandine Calais-Germain, Dr. James Jealous, and other teachers/Masters in the fields of anatomy and physiology, yoga, and meditation he encountered on his journey.
