ARYM Institute has trained and certified thousands of AYM practitioners worldwide for the last 25 years. We’ve been running regular trainings on Ayurvedic Yoga Massage in London and in the UK for many years and have several study options lined up for this year and next as well. All courses are led by Ananta Sylvain Girard, former senior assistant and collaborator (1996-2001) of Master Kusum Modak, the creator of the Ayurvedic Yoga Massage method (AYM). The training courses are open to everyone with a genuine interest in massage, breathwork and yoga therapy, including adjustments. AYM professionals of all levels looking to widen their skillset will gain from the ARYM training program.
Our training is certified by the International Institute for Complementary Therapists (IICT), with full eligibility for AYM practitioner insurance.
Ayurvedic Yoga Massage combines the traditional use of Indian oil deep tissue massage with a series of assisted yoga-based stretching. An individual session of Ayurvedic Yoga Massage typically is given on a mattress on the floor. Hands and feet are used to delivery the massage which usually takes 50 to 90 minutes per session. Together, the result is a massage technique which promotes blood circulation (bringing down toxins), flexibility and improves a general sense of well being.
